Tracks and Trailer Trailer Blind

The Southern Deer Stands Deer Trail Series blinds spell adventure. With the Tracks and Trails Trailer blind you can go where the deer go and take your mobile blind to places you would never want to setup a tower blind. Some of the reasons to consider this blind are if you hunt multiple areas, do not want to leave your blind on the hunting land or want the flexibility to move your blind as you study the deer patterns. It goes where you go and you have a handy sleeping quarters available when you need it. The Road Trip Trailer blind can also be easily pulled with ATV or UTV, must be transported to hunting land on towing trailer.

Elevated Trailer Blind

When you need both mobility and elevation on your hunting ranch the Southern Deer Stands Elevated Trailer blind is the answer. The Elevated Trailer blind combines the best of our Tower Series and Deer Trail Series blinds into an easy to move solution. The trailer features outriggers that can be adjusted independently on each corner to level and secure the blind. In addition, our high quality staircase makes easy work of getting in and out of the blind. Moving the Elevated Trailer blind is a cinch, just remove the staircase and outriggers to the storage location on the base of that trailer and then hook it up to your truck, UTV or four wheeler and you are ready to move.

Extreme 360 View Blind

Lightweight, economical and versatility define the Extreme Series 360 View Blind. The UV resistant plastic blind is outfitted with our real glass horizontal sliding deer blind windows to keep the weather out and conceal scent. Door options include side entry or bottom entry door. Delta Levee Blind

But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest.

Thoughts

A drive across the plains of South Dakota reminded me of the
upcoming wheat harvest. The fields are especially green and full this year due
to abundant rain. The varieties of wheat used for the fall planting varied
widely. So the maturity of the fields reflected that variety. Some fields were
still green. Others were just beginning to turn that light green that melds into
yellow. Yet others were already heading into the golden color that announces the
harvest is near.

Action Point

Partner with God in His harvest of people. In the context of the
John 4 passage, the disciples of Jesus did not realize the priority of God in
reaching people. When Jesus mentioned the harvest, they thought He meant food,
as they had just returned from a trip for food.

Jesus lets them know that reaching people is a priority. He speaks
of the nourishment He receives as He accomplishes God’s priority of reaching
needy people.

We need to prioritize people in our schedules. We need to reach
out to them in everything we do. We must always prepare to share. We must
purchase each chance to sow the seed of the gospel in the hearts of people.

The outdoors is a perfect place to accomplish that. Psalm 19:1-4
tells us that creation literally screams out that there is a Creator. It
is our privilege to introduce others to Him!!!

of the Day

Get involved with local chapters and clubs that improve habitat
for wildlife. Invest some time, energy, and money in this worthwhile activity.
It will generate a benefit of more wildlife in the long run. It will also

Adding Solar Power to Your Deer Blind

How many times have you wished you could charge your cell phone, listen to a game or just have some interior lighting in your blind?

One of the best ways to upgrade your deer blind is to add solar power to it. We have done this for our customers many times and the result is a very dependable, low maintenance solution that provides the ability to have power available for interior lighting, charging cell phones, radio, etc.

When we install this type of solution we embed the electrical wiring just like it is in your home, inside the walls. We also install outlets and switches so that the power can be turned on and off conveniently at the flip of a switch. The basic solution is made up of a number of solar panels that charge a battery. The battery is the power source for the electrical power items in the blind. The solar panels keep the battery charged constantly during the daylight hours. Since you can expect the same approximate life of the battery as you would in a vehicle the entire solution is a low maintenance option to add very useful features to your deer blind.

Southern Deer Stands, LLC is seeking an experienced MIG welder and fabricator to build our products. This is a contract position and it requires the ability to read specifications documents, metal and aluminum cutting, ability to fabricate and weld with high quality. Also required are a strong sense of pride of workmanship and a sense of urgency to complete jobs according to deadlines. This position requires heavy lifting and working in non-climate controlled environments. Southern Deer Stands will provide fabrication process training. All work is performed at our shop.

You must have a flexible work schedule and the amount of work per week is based on our production that week.

The Value Proposition

Being in the deer blind business we talk to a lot of outdoorsman and women and we travel all over the country delivering and setting up our blinds. We often get asked what makes your products better than our competitors or better than homemade blinds. There are many factors to consider when answering this question, but I must say that first we don’t just sell products. We design, fabricate, manufacture, customize and provide additional services to our customers such as the delivery and setup service. This really makes us as much a service company as a manufacturing company. We also are very intentional about the design and construction of our products, average quality won’t cut it at Southern Deer Stands as we take a great deal of pride in our work, products and services. So, now that we have defined who we are and why we do what we do, lets talk about the value proposition. Customers who make the decision to buy our products understand that we are building a high quality product that they cannot build themselves or may not want to build themselves.

I am often amazed at the complaints I hear about deer blinds and I think that the priorities are sometimes mixed up on what is most important and of high value. For example, a new four wheeler or side by side can range between $8,000 to $15,000 and most people will ride these to their deer stands each way for 10 minutes or less. While a brand new ATV is usually a must have what about the fact that the highest value is being in the deer stand at the right time, the right time could mean all day. For me, my day in the field begins at 5:00 AM and it ends just before dark, that’s right all day. I have tried to do this in climbing stands, tripods, and other types of deer stands and it is not comfortable or functional for all day duration. The more uncomfortable or un-functional the deer stand the less likely I am to stick it out all day, add kids or foul weather in the mix and the time in the field become even less.

Every day I talk to potential customers about our products and it really come down to what is most important to that customer, what is the high value for them. Is a quality product that will provide years of service the ticket or is it the ability to customize the blind to their specific needs or other considerations. We all know hunting is expensive but most of us do not have to go buy new guns every year because the one we hunted with last year wore out, that would be crazy and no one would stand for that, same for ATV’s. So how are deer blinds any different? In my book they are not, the value for me is the time I get to spend focused looking out the windows in my comfortable, no maintenance deer blind. I even spend the night in my blind on occasion and I don’t want to spend it with spiders, wasps or owls either.

I did not even cover the safety aspects of some of the “contraptions” I have seen. Stairs with no handrails, rotting floors, wobblely towers. These are all areas I find unacceptable and accidents waiting to happen. I am not a safety freak but I don’t want to end up in the hospital or even worse because of some pieced together deer stand.

Value is gained by understanding what you really want and how the product addresses those desires.
